Insurance & payment - Clear Lake
Insurance we accept in Clear Lake - most vision and medical plans
Eye Trends in Clear Lake takes most vision and medical plans - VSP, EyeMed, Superior Vision, Aetna, Medicare and more - and we make the coverage part simple. You should not have to decode your benefits before you can see the eye doctor. Bring your vision or medical insurance and we will use it. If your plan needs checking first, one of us will pick up the phone and find out for you - a real person, not a form you fill out and hope. We work from your plan, not a published price list, and if you are paying on your own, CareCredit financing, self-pay, and cash are all welcome here in Clear Lake.
Accepted plans
The plans we accept
These are the plans we work with. If yours is on the list, bring your card and we will file it for you. If you are not sure, call (281) 488-0066 and we will check it before you come in - no guessing, no surprise at the counter.
For routine exams, glasses, and contacts.
For a medical eye problem billed to your health plan.
If you are paying on your own, or spreading it out.
One honest heads-up so nobody makes a wasted trip: there are a small handful of plans we do not take. If you do not see yours above, call first and we will tell you straight - it is better to know before you drive over than to find out once you are here.
How the billing works
Two kinds of visits, two kinds of coverage
A lot of the coverage confusion comes down to one thing: an eye visit can be billed two different ways, and they do not work the same. A routine vision exam - the one for updating your glasses or contacts - is usually billed to your vision plan. A medical eye problem - dry eye, pink eye, or a diabetic or glaucoma check - is often billed to your medical plan instead. Because the two are handled differently, it is worth a quick call to confirm what your specific plan covers before your visit.
Coverage depends on your plan
We do not publish a price list, and that is not a dodge. What you pay depends on your plan and on what your visit actually involves, so a number only means something once we have looked at your benefits with you.For anything that is self-pay or not covered, we will tell you plainly what to expect, and CareCredit financing is there if it helps you spread it out. Whenever you have a coverage or pricing question, the honest way to a real answer is a quick phone call where a person can check your benefits.
Why the coverage part is easy here
A real person who knows these plans
We have been filing Clear Lake families' vision and medical claims for a long time. Eye Trends has cared for this community for 42 years, since 1984, and that tenure is the reason the coverage part is not something to dread here. We know these plans, we know which questions to ask, and when you call, a real person answers and works it out with you - not an automated menu, not a phone tree.
So the whole thing is simpler than it sounds: call us, we handle the coverage, and then you come in and see the same doctor who has looked after this community all that time. No fine-print surprises, no runaround - just your benefits, sorted, by people who have been doing it for decades.
