How a fitting works
Three things a contact lens fitting settles.
An eyeglass prescription is not a contact lens prescription. The lens sits directly on the eye, so it needs its own measurement and its own follow-up.
The lens types we fit
Grouped by what your eyes need.
Most people fall into one of these three. Which one is right depends on your prescription and your cornea, not on preference alone.
01 Everyday soft lenses Daily disposables, two-week and monthly replacements. The straightforward option when your prescription is straightforward.
02 Toric and multifocal Toric lenses correct astigmatism and have to stay oriented on the eye. Multifocals handle reading distance after forty. Both need a careful fitting and usually a follow-up.
03 Gas-permeable and kids' Rigid gas-permeable lenses for hard-to-fit corneas and keratoconus, and first fittings for children, taught properly with handling lessons.
