Can this cure or reverse my child's myopia?
No, and we will always be straight with you about that. Myopia management slows how fast the nearsightedness gets worse; it does not undo the nearsightedness your child already has. The aim is a lower final prescription and healthier eyes for the long run, not a cure.
Are low-dose atropine drops safe for kids?
Low-dose atropine has a long track record in eye care, and the concentration used for myopia control is very small. Most children tolerate it well. We start carefully, watch how your child responds at each re-check, and adjust or switch to multifocal soft lenses if the drops do not suit them.
What if my child needs something you don't offer?
We keep our scope honest. For myopia management we offer low-dose atropine drops and multifocal soft contact lenses, and if your child ever needs care beyond what we provide, we will tell you plainly and refer you, or co-manage with the right specialist, rather than stretch past what we actually do here.
